Tanner Morrin, Project Designer at Architectural Design & Construction, Inc. (ADC), is now one of a select group of professionals nationwide to earn the Certified LEED Green Associate credentials. This designation identifies him as an architectural professional with the skills for incorporating green building principles and practices into new home and remodeling projects.

LEED certification coursework is based on the National Green Building Standard, the only ANSI-approved rating system for green homes, developments and remodeling projects. The standard includes sections on energy, water and resource efficiency; indoor environmental quality; lot and site development; and homeowner education.

Administered by the Green Building Certification Institute – an independent, third party incorporated entity with the support of U.S. Green Building Council – the LEED certification program is sponsored locally by the Building Industry Association of Hawaii.

“I believe it is the responsibility of the designer to utilize inventive practices in order to better meet the needs and interests of our clients,” said Morrin. “We act as a bridge between innovative technologies and responsive design in order to create architecture that will positively impact both our clients and the environment.”

Born and raised on Maui, Morrin graduated from Baldwin High School (Suma Cum Laude, Class of 2009); and from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2013, with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Environmental Design. Morrin joined ADC in May 2013.
